Your memories, your control.

A wedding album is personal. That is why every album is private, everything lives on servers in the EU and you decide what happens to it, up to and including deletion.

Only those with the link watch along.

Every album lives on its own hard-to-guess link behind your QR code. The album explicitly asks search engines to leave it out, and it is never listed anywhere on the site. Share the link with your guests, and that is exactly the circle watching along.

Your photos live in the EU.

All photos and videos are stored on servers in the European Union and processed under the GDPR. Which parties help with that and how long things are kept is laid out openly in our privacy policy.

Approve, delete, download: you decide.

By default photos appear live, that is the party. If you would rather see things first, turn on approval and a photo only appears after your say-so. You can delete any photo, a guest can also remove their own upload, and what you download is simply yours.

Clear about retention.

Your album stays online 6 months, 12 months or 3 years, depending on your plan. After that we delete the album and the files, as our terms also state. So download in time: what you download stays yours forever.

Your photos are yours.

We use the photos and videos only to make your album work: showing it to those with the link, running the slideshow and preparing your downloads. You pay once for the album, and that is what we earn on.

Who can do what in your album.

An album has three kinds of visitors: you as the owner, your guests, and anyone the link is forwarded to. For the album, that last group makes no difference: a link is a link. This is exactly who can do what.

Co-hosts you invite can do everything you can, except delete the album, take it over or manage other co-hosts. We recognise someone's own upload by their device and browser: on a different phone a guest can no longer remove their photo themselves, so you do it for them.

The privacy questions we hear most.

Can someone find our album through Google?
A very understandable worry, these are your wedding photos. Every wedding album explicitly asks search engines to leave it out and the link cannot be guessed; only those who get the QR code or link from you can watch along. Only our own sample album is public, and it is there to show how things work.
What happens to the photos after the retention period?
After your plan's online period we delete the album and the files. Everything you download before then is and stays yours, in high quality.
Can we have a photo taken down?
Yes, in two ways. As a couple you delete any photo from the album, instantly and yourself. And a guest who regrets an upload removes it themselves too, without having to ask you.
Who sees the photos guests upload?
Anyone with the album link or QR code can view the album; that is your guests. With pre-approval switched on, an upload only appears in the album after you have approved it; only the guest who uploaded it already sees it, marked as awaiting approval. Photos you hide are visible to nobody but you. Only you, and anyone you invite to manage the album, can download; guests look at the photos in the album. What a guest does with a photo they see, such as taking a screenshot or forwarding it, is outside Pixavo, as with any shared photo.
Can we share a selection without everyone seeing everything?
Yes. Hide what is not for everyone; what stays visible is the selection, and hidden photos disappear from the album and the slideshow right away. That way you can add your favourite photographer shots after the wedding and share the same link again, while the rest stays private. Do download everything first: hidden photos are not included in the download.
Do you do anything with face recognition or AI?
A fair question these days. We use your images only to make the album work; analysing, training or reselling is not part of that. If a feature ever does more with images, it will be optional and will ask for your explicit consent first.
